A little sunshine

Image
Hi friends! I hope you all are doing well. Today, I'm sharing a card that I made for my dear friend's birthday: I picked Kraft cardstock (craftangles) as the base for my watercoloured flower. I watercoloured the heat embossed floral image with distress inks. For the rainbow panels beneath the Kraft cardstock:   I heat embossed some embossing powder (wow embossing-Inca glintz/ hero arts blowing in the wind bold prints background stamp) on watercolour paper (brustro) and watercolored it with distress inks. The scalloped strip on the right side is actually placed on the inner face of the card, right next to my message. I stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder and embellished with paper twine and Nuvo drops. Monochrome blue

Hello friends! When I decided to make a card with only one colour, I instantly knew I had use my favorite colour, Blue. Here's the card I made: The flowers are peony scrolls from altenew. I heat embossed the flowers with white embossing powder, one on watercolour paper and another one on vellum. I watercoloured the flower with distree ink. For the base, I placed a piece of polka dot patterned paper along one side of the blue cardstock. I then assembled my florals and the sentiment. Used nuvo crystal drops to embellish. Timeout challenges GD: Card #2

Image
Hello crafty friends! I’m Guest designing for the current photo inspiration challenge at the timeout challenges and here’s my second card: Which is inspired by this Chair photo: I ink blended some distress inks on white cardstock and then die cut the paper into leaves. Then I placed the leaves around the sentiment that is heat embossed on a circular die cut. I have also lightly stenciled a hexagon pattern on the circle die cut. For the card base, I used a grey cardstock and on the right side is a striped panel which I made using the remaining ink blended paper. You can checkout my first card inspired by the chair photo  here . Thank you so very much for stopping by. I hope you will play along. Stay safe and take care.

Guest designer- Timeout challenges

Image
Hello! I Hope everyone’s doing well. I’m thrilled to be the guest designer for the timeoutchallenges ! This is my first time as the GD and I’m so excited to be a part of this challenge. This time, its is a photo inspiration challenge generously sponsored by Uniko and here’s the image: Here's a closer look: There’s so much in this image, patterns, florals, tassels! So much to choose from. The black & white stripes  stood out for me. I've seen crafters use stripes so beautifully in their cards, I totally wanted to make something with the stripes. And then I realized, that I don’t own any black & white striped paper! Amidst the lockdown here, buying striped paper wasn't an option. So I decided to make it! I used 5mm paper quilling strips from my stash to make a striped panel. On either sides of this panel are paper strips embossed with gold embossing powder. Here's my finished card: I used the Uniko freebie digital stamp from the fab...

Blissful blue

Hello friends, Sharing a floral card today- I made this card using mudra stamps (heat embossedusing wow embossing powder) and watercolored them using distress inks. This is my first proper attempt at water coloring and though I liked  the end result, I do have a long way to go! For the card base, I didn't have the exact blue color. So I used sky blue cardstock from craftangles and used distress inks to color the edges. I then stamped it with the same distress inks to create some floral-leafy pattern. I diecut the watercoloured panel with alphabet dies and placed the heat embossed sentiment. I also used nuvo crystal drops at the centre of the flowers for some glimmer. Hydrangea hues

Image
Hello! I Hope everyone’s keeping well. Hydrangeas. I adore these flowers. Their changing colors have fascinated me since childhood. I picked my hydrangea stamp and colored some hydrangeas for this card.  Unlike the usual subtle hydrangea colors, I chose to color mine in bright pink and purple  using copic markers.  I  used Mondo Hydrangea stamp from Essentials by Ellen and the sentiment is by simon says stamp. Linking this post at Timeout challenge #158   and attempting to  raise awareness regarding epilepsy.  Purple ribbon represents Epilepsy. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you like my work. Please do let me know in the comments. Stay safe and take care.

Something to hope for

Image
Quote- "They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for".~Tom Bodett Hey everyone! I have use the simon says stamp filigree border die in today's card. I die cut white cardstock. I inkblended a sheet of white cardstock with distress inks and oxides. For some shimmer, I applied craftangles fairy dust glimmer paste on the ink blended panel. I glued the die cut filigree panel on the in blended panel. (And it looked awesome!!) The shimmering butterflies too are made using the same technique, except that the butterflies are made by heat embossing with white embossing powder. I arranged all the pieces on the card base. For embellishments, I place tiny shimmery hexagons near the sentiment. Playing along with: FUSION - Cake Cupcake inspirations #489 Many thanks for visiting my blog. Stay safe and take care!
