Timeout challenges GD: Card #2

Hello crafty friends!


I’m Guest designing for the current photo inspiration challenge at the timeout challenges and here’s my second card:



Which is inspired by this Chair photo:

I ink blended some distress inks on white cardstock and then die cut the paper into leaves. Then I placed the leaves around the sentiment that is heat embossed on a circular die cut. I have also lightly stenciled a hexagon pattern on the circle die cut.
For the card base, I used a grey cardstock and on the right side is a striped panel which I made using the remaining ink blended paper.

    This is just gorgeous. I love all the detail here. The colours are so fresh and vibrant. Love you you added the strip of card picking out the colours-super idea, plus that soft stencil work. It has been a joy having you as GD, with 2 amazing cards x

    Another gorgeous make for our challenge. I love all of these wonderful leaves and the way you have arranged them, the polkadot center, and that wonderful stripe on the right dies. Fabulous design. Thanks again for joining us as Guest Designer. It has been great to have you with us.

 Hello friends! Happy Monday!  I'm back with another birthday card today and I'm playing along with a few challenges. The pattern on the moodboard at inkspirational challenge took me to a kaiserkraft stencil in my stash. I used the stencil and distress inks to create the stenciled pattern at the center of the card. I sprayed some water over it to allow the distress inks to react. I adore butterflies and I wanted to use them as an element of freedom for the ATCAS challenge. I heat embossed a butterfly image with a contrasting embossing powder- color blend verdigris from WOW, so that it stands out against the stencil pattern. I placed the stamped sentiment (kaisercraft) at the centre. Happy women's day to all the lovely women out there. Hope everyone's having an amazing day! Today, I have a card for all the wonderful mom's.  I used the altenew stamps and colored the beautiful florals in pretty pink (still working on my coloring skills).  The stitched scallop frame is colored with distress ink.  I placed the sentiment at the centre and assembled the flowers on the frame.  Final touch with Ranganjali stardust sequins. Butterflies signify freedom and beauty. Whether it is running around them trying to get a decent click or using them in my artwork, I absolutely adore these petite beauties. In today’s post, I’m sharing a simple butterfly birthday card. I heat embossed the butterflies on a distress ink-distress oxide background and added a birthday sentiment.
