Timeout challenges GD: Card #2

Hello crafty friends!


I’m Guest designing for the current photo inspiration challenge at the timeout challenges and here’s my second card:



Which is inspired by this Chair photo:

I ink blended some distress inks on white cardstock and then die cut the paper into leaves. Then I placed the leaves around the sentiment that is heat embossed on a circular die cut. I have also lightly stenciled a hexagon pattern on the circle die cut.
For the card base, I used a grey cardstock and on the right side is a striped panel which I made using the remaining ink blended paper.

    This is just gorgeous. I love all the detail here. The colours are so fresh and vibrant. Love you you added the strip of card picking out the colours-super idea, plus that soft stencil work. It has been a joy having you as GD, with 2 amazing cards x

    Another gorgeous make for our challenge. I love all of these wonderful leaves and the way you have arranged them, the polkadot center, and that wonderful stripe on the right dies. Fabulous design. Thanks again for joining us as Guest Designer. It has been great to have you with us.

CAS bday card

 Hello friends! Happy Monday!  I'm back with another birthday card today and I'm playing along with a few challenges. The pattern on the moodboard at inkspirational challenge took me to a kaiserkraft stencil in my stash. I used the stencil and distress inks to create the stenciled pattern at the center of the card. I sprayed some water over it to allow the distress inks to react. I adore butterflies and I wanted to use them as an element of freedom for the ATCAS challenge. I heat embossed a butterfly image with a contrasting embossing powder- color blend verdigris from WOW, so that it stands out against the stencil pattern. I placed the stamped sentiment (kaisercraft) at the centre. AAA birthday Game #50- GD post

Hello lovely friends!  I'm delighted and honored to be guest designing at the AAA Birthday challenge blog this month.   The theme for this month is 'Water colours' and here is my card: I used the flora background stamp from simon says stamp. I heat embossed it using versamark and WOW white embossing powder. I used zig clean brush pens to watercolour the image.  I wanted the sentiment to stand out on the busy and bright background. My first instinct was to place vellum underneath the sentiment. But the background did not mellow down enough with 110gsm vellum I used. So, I stamped the background image on cardstock, lightly watercoloured it and die cut a circle which I placed beneath my die cut sentiment from simon says stamp. I had so much fun creating this card. Birthday Card

  Hello crafty friends! I'm sharing a birthday card in today's post.  I had this stencil from kaiser craft in my stash and I never got a chance to use it. Used it today and created a background with distress inks. I stamped & coloured the Birthday cake (Reverse confetti) and die cut the stamped image.  The sentiment is from MFT.
