Something to hope for

Image
Quote- "They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for".~Tom Bodett Hey everyone! I have use the simon says stamp filigree border die in today's card. I die cut white cardstock. I inkblended a sheet of white cardstock with distress inks and oxides. For some shimmer, I applied craftangles fairy dust glimmer paste on the ink blended panel. I glued the die cut filigree panel on the in blended panel. (And it looked awesome!!) The shimmering butterflies too are made using the same technique, except that the butterflies are made by heat embossing with white embossing powder. I arranged all the pieces on the card base. For embellishments, I place tiny shimmery hexagons near the sentiment. Playing along with: FUSION - Cake Cupcake inspirations #489 Many thanks for visiting my blog. Stay safe and take care!

Going green

Hello friends! We all end up having a lot of scrap papers and extra die cuts. Somehow I never feel like discarding them. So for today's card, I decided to use something from my scraps. The die cuts that I used are sheets that I had used for practising blending with some colors. I die cut the scraps and arranged them on white cardstock. I used a scallop frame die cut on the corners of the card and glued this panel onto a grey card base. I placed a flower (watercoloured using distress inks) at the centre of the card, heat embossed the sentiment and embellished the card with some nuvo drops. Sparkle in the sky

I love paper quilling. Today I have a custom made quilling work for a little boy. I used distress inks for the sky background and for the clouds. The sun and the rainbow are quilled using colorful paper strips.  The alphabets are colored with distress inks and then die cut. I seldom add glitter to my work, but this time I decided to add some shimmer before die cutting.  I used craftangles fairy dust glimmer paste.. and I absolutely love this product now. It magically accentuates the beauty of anything it is applied on! Lastly, I affixed the alphabets on the quilled rainbow. Playing along with  craftangles march challenge Thank you for stopping by. Happiness!

Hello friends! I'm sharing a butterfly card that I made using a die cut scrap.   I had a piece of white cardstock that was a leftover from the die cut frame from my  previous card . I embossed it using my small embossing folder (sizzix) and applied some distress ink on the edges. This is used as a background . I die cut the large butterfly having symmetrical wings, and coloured it with distress inks and distress oxides. For the centre of the butterfly, I used some black metal glitter from itsy bitsy. To make sure that the glitter doesnt fall off from the butterfly, I further covered it with morning dew nuvo drops. Lastly, I stamped a small sentiment with versafine ink. Rainbow wishes

Its so wonderful to a see a rainbow in the sky. But its not often that we get to see one.  I wanted to use all my distress inks to make a colorful, rainbowy card. So here it is! I stamped the sentiment (from kaisercraft) with wow embossing powder and then water coloured the background using distress inks (spiced marmalade, mustard seed, peacock feathers, picked raspberry).  I die cut the colorful piece and placed it on white cardstock.  Linking this post and playing along with: just add ink #495 seize the birthday #184 Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy women's day to all the lovely women out there. Hope everyone's having an amazing day! Today, I have a card for all the wonderful mom's.  I used the altenew stamps and colored the beautiful florals in pretty pink (still working on my coloring skills).  The stitched scallop frame is colored with distress ink.  I placed the sentiment at the centre and assembled the flowers on the frame.  Final touch with Ranganjali stardust sequins.
