For that spring birthday

Hello crafty friends! 

It's been a while since I posted on the blog. I took time to follow some of my other crafty hobbies. Do check out my ig account artocopia.

I wanted to make a card for my bff Crystatin's birthday this week. I used the floral fantasy die from Altenew to add pretty roses to my slim line bday card.


I colored the die cut elements with alcohol markers. Also used gold mirror cardstock as one of the floral elements. For the background, I scored some vertical lines on the cardstock and added some ink splatter as well. The die cut sentiment from simon says stamp.

With this card, I confirm that  is definitely my go to crafty die.

 Hello friends! Happy Monday!  I'm back with another birthday card today and I'm playing along with a few challenges. The pattern on the moodboard at inkspirational challenge took me to a kaiserkraft stencil in my stash. I used the stencil and distress inks to create the stenciled pattern at the center of the card. I sprayed some water over it to allow the distress inks to react. I adore butterflies and I wanted to use them as an element of freedom for the ATCAS challenge. I heat embossed a butterfly image with a contrasting embossing powder- color blend verdigris from WOW, so that it stands out against the stencil pattern. I placed the stamped sentiment (kaisercraft) at the centre. AAA birthday Game #50- GD post

Hello lovely friends!  I'm delighted and honored to be guest designing at the AAA Birthday challenge blog this month.   The theme for this month is 'Water colours' and here is my card: I used the flora background stamp from simon says stamp. I heat embossed it using versamark and WOW white embossing powder. I used zig clean brush pens to watercolour the image.  I wanted the sentiment to stand out on the busy and bright background. My first instinct was to place vellum underneath the sentiment. But the background did not mellow down enough with 110gsm vellum I used. So, I stamped the background image on cardstock, lightly watercoloured it and die cut a circle which I placed beneath my die cut sentiment from simon says stamp. I had so much fun creating this card. Birthday Card

  Hello crafty friends! I'm sharing a birthday card in today's post.  I had this stencil from kaiser craft in my stash and I never got a chance to use it. Used it today and created a background with distress inks. I stamped & coloured the Birthday cake (Reverse confetti) and die cut the stamped image.  The sentiment is from MFT.
