Butterfly card

Image
Hello friends! Today's post is a card featuring my favorite - butterfly! The background is created with distress inks. I covered the partitions between two horizontal stripes with some paper twine. I placed a white die cut butterfly in the centre.  The butterfly is covered with shimmer paste from craftangles. I finally placed a heat embossed sentiment on the card.  Playing along with- AAA birthday challenge #47 Sss wednesday challenge  Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend. ~Ana

Seize the Birthday challenge – Things in a garden

Image
Hello everyone.  Welcome to my crafty blog!  I’m delighted to join in as the Surprise party guest at  Seize the Birthday 's latest challenge.  Nancy is the hostess for this week's challenge and topping is- ‘ Things in a garden ’. Here's my card- The stamp sets used in this project are- Humming bird (Mudra craft stamps) and Birthday sentiments  (Kaisercraft). I stamped the images with versafine ink and heat embossed using wow clear embossing powder. I colored the floral elements with copic markers and the bird with zig clean color brush pens.  The blended background is created with distress inks- mowed lawn, cracked pistachio, mustard seed and salty ocean. I love wooden inspired backgrounds. I u sed this wonderful paper 'wood works' from scrappy tales to make my  hand cut p icket fence. For the border, I used the scalloped frame from Gina Marie designs. A little about my inspiration for this card- I come across a lot of squirrels, birds and butterflies in our garden.

Bday Card- Majestic Blooms

Image
Hello Crafty friends! Here's my recent project- I used Altenew Majestic Blooms stamp set for my card. I stamped this beautiful flower with Versamark and heat embossed using Rangers Gold embossing powder .  I added color with Alcohol markers and fussy cut the image. T he gold embossing powder seemed pretty dull as  I ended up coloring most  of it  with the alcohol markers. T o restore the gold shine  I  lightly highlighted the embossed outline with  Zig painty  marker . I stamped the leaves with versafine ink and coloured them with Zig clean brush pens. For the background, I made a horizontal line using floral die cuts over a white card panel. I then stamped little pink leaves and placed an oval scalloped die cut  and added some ink splatter as well.  I wanted to keep the sentiment simple, so used this one from  MFT .    Playing along with:     Just add ink #642 Cupcakeinspirations #563         Timeout challenges #233

Hello friends, I'm back with a birthday card, entering a few challenges this time. I used the floral fantasy die from Altenew. (I have ended up making 4 of my last 5 cards using this die 🙈). I coloured the die cut flowers with alcohol markers. I lightly stenciled the white background with  tumbling leaves stencil from simon says stamp. Added a bold sentiment and a few pearls to embellish the card. Playing along with: timeoutchallenges #232 Time out challenges is celebrating their 9th birthday this week.
